Soldiers are not identified. Camp Doniphan was located at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Battery A from Kansas City was sent there for military training for World War I.

This collection contains 11 black and white mounted display photographs measuring 14" x 16" and housed in one box. The award-winning photographs were taken by Elbert Landfried. They show both artistic merit as well as historical significance. Subjects include Union Station, the West Bottoms, Vaile Mansion, Truman home and Truman Library in Independence, Missouri, a portrait of the artist Thomas Hart Benton, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Liberty Memorial. Collection also contains 17, 35mm, b&w negatives of Watts Mill and the Missouri River area at Sugar Creek, Missouri. Accession #1994-37, gift of Mr. Landfried. Processed: 1994.
