Each card is 4 x 7 cm. and creates a pun by illustrating a phrase in an unintended way such as a man wearing Scottish dress dancing for "Hop Scotch," a cow wearing a suit, tie, and top hat for "Dressed Beef," a hunter running away from a bear for "A Bare Chance," a boy stealing a man's pocket watch for "Losing Time," a very ugly woman for "Unmatched," and a man hanged from a tree for "A Drop Too Much."

Group Who Extended Invitation to President Grover Cleveland

Framed (17 in. x 22.75 in.) group photograph (15 in. x 20.75 in.) of a group of 97 people standing in front of an unidentified entry way. According to handwritten inventory, inscription reads: "It was away back in 1885 that this party of Kansas Citians journeyed to Washington to extend President Cleveland an invitation to attend a celebration in Kansas City which he accepted..." Each individual is numbered but the identification list is not with the photograph. The only people identified are: J. K. Davidson, J. R. Stroller, M. J. Payne, Mrs. M. J. Payne, W. W. Morgan, and Prof. J. T. Buchanan.

Includes unidentified band members in white uniforms standing in a row with their instruments in front of an unidentified building. Face of drum reads: "Knights of Columbus, Marquette 1698, Kansas City Mo." Donor states that the band leader is Michael Ingino.
