An image of this car crash scene is printed on page 2 of the February 06, 1926, edition of The Kansas City Times. Transcribed article: Three men narrowly escaped serious injury late yesterday when two motor cars collided head-on and overturned on Cherry Street in front of the General Hospital. A speedster, driven by J.E. Oxley, 237 Southwest boulevard, toppled over a 6-foot embankment and upon an extension of Robert Gillham road. Oxley was thrown clear of the car. His only injury was a slight cut on the chin. J.O. Willoughby, 2504 Grand avenue, driver of the other car, who was accompanied by H.T. Gibson, also escaped injury. Gibson left the scene without giving an address. Both cars were being driven fast, according to witnesses.
